Allen Esses, MS, co-founder and President of DataPros for Healthcare, is a recognized expert in supply chain data for the healthcare industry. During his 25-year career, Mr. Esses has been responsible for a variety of information systems and data-related product lines, both as a consultant and as a healthcare executive. His expertise covers all aspects of the supply chain, including surgical and material management information systems and their integration with financial and human resource/payroll applications. Mr. Esses was the data cleansing practice leader at a Fortune 50 healthcare company and responsible for both internal and external supply chain data. He has also held hospital positions as Associate Chief Operating Officer, Management Analyst, Quality Assurance Coordinator, Patient Relations Specialist, and Personnel Management Specialist. Combining all of his in-hospital experience and in-the-field consulting, Mr. Esses has emerged as a thought leader in the field, culminating in his consulting for GS1 Healthcare US as an integral part of their healthcare data standards adoption strategy. Mr. Esses holds a Master’s in Health Services Administration from Russell Sage College, Albany, NY, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from SUNY Albany, NY.

Joanne Steinhardt, MFA, co-founder and Executive Vice President of DataPros for Healthcare, oversees the financial, marketing, and technological design departments of the company. Over the past 20 years, she has developed a diverse background, covering healthcare, advertising/marketing, and academia, in both the public and private sectors. Ms. Steinhardt has accumulated knowledge in the fields of biomedical communication and advertising, specializing in new media and web-based campaigns, culminating in her appointment as a tenured Associate Professor of Electronic Media, Art, and Technology at the University of Tampa. While employed at the NW Ayer & Partners Advertising and Media Placement Agency in New York (acquired in 2005), she specialized in the conception, coordination, and production of new business pitches specifically geared toward new media. Previously, Ms. Steinhardt worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs as the Chief of Medical Media Production Services, and was a key member of the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, Center for Biomedical Communication. These positions gave her valuable insight into the specific aesthetic and market preference for healthcare. Ms. Steinhardt holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Maine College of Art, Portland, ME, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY.

William Steinhardt, BS, serves as Vice President at DataPros for Healthcare. During his 40 years of experience, Mr. Steinhardt has held various executive-level positions in small companies undergoing rapid growth, including Vice President of Sales, General Manager, President, and Chief Executive Officer. As Vice President of Sales, he grew one company from $1M in gross revenue to just over $20M in a 10-year period and was a member of the management team through acquisition talks culminating in the successful sale of the company. Specific to healthcare, he conceived and successfully founded a business that private labeled specialty medical packaging and sterilization products, and produced a line of procedural trays and custom packaging for clients such as Becton Dickinson (BD), Cormed, and Abbott Labs. Mr. Steinhardt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Marketing from Upsala College, East Orange, NJ.

Steve Ciarleglio, BS, serves as the Vice President at DataPros for Healthcare. Mr. Ciarleglio specializes in data management and software architecture, and he also has experience in many other areas of the IT field. While his recent experience is focused in healthcare, his 12-plus years of information technology experience include industries such as investment management, real estate, mortgage brokerage, newspaper publishing, public school systems, and the technology industry. He has made significant contributions to developing web-based spend analytic tools, price benchmarking solutions, user management applications, data-mining solutions, and billing systems. In addition to his software architecture talents, Mr. Ciarleglio has successfully coordinated and completed numerous data management projects for hospitals around the nation and provided onsite support and consultation. Mr. Ciarleglio has held previous positions as IT Director, Lead Developer, Database Analyst, Information Technology Consultant, Web Developer, Information Technology Support and Administrator, and Production Manager. Mr. Ciarleglio graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Tampa, Tampa, FL, and is a Beta Gamma Sigma alumnus.
